Math tutor

Math is my passion. I have experience in Maths tutoring and have been working with international students for the past 12 years (in accordance with IB Programme for Grade levels 4 to12). I watched my students growing, achieving their ambitious aims, entering prestigious colleges and universities. And I grew with them myself, continuing my self-education, seeking for and integrating innovation strategies in the tutoring process.

Впервые работать с детьми мне довелось уже в 8 классе. Моя школа поручила мне готовить команду 6 классов к республиканским математическим боям. Также, дважды являлся жюри республиканских олимпиад.

I offer classes in mathematics and physics in English, Russian or Ukrainian according to the American, British, or Ukrainian programs (International Baccalaureate, A-level). I hold a Master's degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Toronto (Canada) and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Leicester (United Kingdom). I have good experience in math tutoring. My students maintain motivation during and after my classes as well as show great results. During the learning process, I articulate applications of what is covered in the real world. That's how I keep the interest of the student to the subject. I will be happy to help you learn math. As a long-time State Certified Educator, I am proud and experienced to have worked as a School (Guidance) Counselor, Math Teacher, and Tutor for all grade levels (K-12) and subject areas, focusing on various levels of Math (from General/Basic Math up to and including:Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics & Probability, and College Algebra). I have had the great privilege to work at elementary, middle and high school levels, as well as some higher education (i.e., technical colleges, GED Teaching, as well as SAT/ACT Test Preparation). In addition, I have many years of experience working with students with special needs, including ADD/ADHD, ESE, 504 Plans, and varying learning disabilities (which I find very rewarding, even though it can be challenging at times). It has been with great pride that I try to "help my students help themselves", by offering patient and encouraging instruction and support, offering praise and instilling confidence and responsibility to help students succeed. Of course, it is a "team effort" that truly helps students achieve the greatest success, when we all work together.

Preparing students for exams, as well as working in accordance with the curriculum with an individual approach to each student. Each lecture is an interesting journey into the depths of scientific knowledge, interesting and useful for all children, regardless of their level of knowledge and age category. I am PhD Doctor and have over 10 years of experience in teaching at school with students of various age categories, as well as university.

My teaching style includes math interactive instruments. Also, I can use visual materials like videos, movies, graphics. I give some tips on how to memorize formulas faster and better. Games and quizzes are the best for kids. I try to create a vibrant and motivating atmosphere in the class to inspire a student.

I like to let students see the hidden patterns in many equations and math rules that would enable them to understand the topics better. I also try to relate math with everyday life examples. I really enjoy engaging with students and just being able to help them understand things that are challenging because I understand how stressful highschool can be. I believe that I am approachable, kind, and also I care a lot about my students (not just their school work but also their mental health).

I am passionate about seeing students grow, excel academically and find their passions in learning. I enjoy assisting students create effective study plans, cultivate balanced habits/lifestyles, and prepare for upcoming tests/exams (including university prep). I especially enjoy the lifelong relationships I have with my students, and exploring various learning styles (i.e. using interactive modules, visual aids). My greatest hope is to help students achieve their dreams and "become the leaders of tomorrow.”

I did PhD in Mathematics Education in 2018. I have teaching and training experience with different target groups – in-service teachers, student teachers, content writers till Higher Secondary grade. I follow the constructiveness approach of learning in my training's and teaching where I encourage learners to think and problem solve in a creative and original manner. I also have experience in setting up of mathematics lab in schools and college of educations. I got the training of STEM (Science, Technology, engineering & Math)

I am a second year student in University of Toronto specialized in Applied Statistics. I used to be a teaching assistant of a mathematics course in university. I like to make jokes with students，And I like to play with them while studying.And choosing me would lead you to the easiest way to solve mathematics.

I am an ardent learner and I find happiness as a facilitator. I find interest in working for a cause, that contributes to the upliftment of society. Imparting education to the young igniting minds is one of the ways I found to satisfy my passion for education. By God’s mighty Grace I am able to do so for the past 12 years and would love to spend my future years also to make the learners an asset to society.
